Dates of major and minor Jewish holidays for years 3833-3839, as observed in Israel. Each holiday page includes a brief overview of special observances and customs, and any special Torah readings.
Except for minor fasts, holidays begin at sundown on the first date specified and end at nightfall on the last date specified. For example, if the dates for Rosh Hashana are listed as -, then the holiday begins at sundown on Sep 17 and ends at nightfall on Sep 19.
This page displays the Israel holiday schedule. The Diaspora schedule is used by Jews living outside of modern Israel.
Dates in bold are yom tov, so they have similar obligations and restrictions to Shabbat in the sense that normal “work” is forbidden.

רֹאשׁ חוֹדֶשׁ, transliterated Rosh Chodesh or Rosh Hodesh, is a minor holiday that occurs at the beginning of every month in the Hebrew calendar. It is marked by the birth of a new moon.
Note: the first day of Tishrei is not considered Rosh Chodesh. The holiday that occurs on the 1st day of Tishrei is called Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year. For the month of Tishrei, the major holiday of Rosh Hashana takes precedence over what would be a minor holiday.
